At BISS, we pride ourselves on creating lifelong learners, who embark on exciting new educational and career adventures once they’ve graduated from our school. No matter whether they attended BISS their entire childhood, or whether they joined us for just a year or two, we are always keen to keep in touch and support them on their post-BISS journeys.
We recently touched base with BISS alumnus Julian, who graduated in 2021, and are excited to share his updates thus far:
‘I am Julian Van Der Vennet from Belgium, and I attended BISS for 11 years, having graduated from the IBDP. I have obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Technology and Management from the University of Hertfordshire after 3 years of studies. I recently celebrated my graduation with my parents and two brothers in the UK.
The IB programme at BISS provided me with key skills to face many challenges during my Bachelor studies. It helped me greatly with time management and meeting tight deadlines, which are extremely important for University assignments.
As for the coming year, I am starting an internship at SAS next week and I have a second internship lined up at Lufthansa in January 2025. After this, I will start my Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering for two more years. I have a few universities in mind where I would like to enrol, but I will have to wait and see.’
