The British International School of Stockholm is run by a non-profit making foundation (Stiftelsen Borgen 2) and is managed by a Board of Governors that is elected to represent the interests of parents, staff and the local community.
The Board meets regularly, focussing on the long-term, strategic direction of the schools. It receives regular updates from School Leadership about progress made towards meeting the schools short, medium and long term goals. The Board establishes policies and delegates day-to-day operations to the Principal and his Senior Leadership Team.
