Team BISS Reaches Semi Finals at Sumpan Junior Classic Curling Tournament

With the Danderyd Curling Club practically next door to BISS, our curling team is going from strength to strength! Team BISS took part in the annual Sumpan Junior Classic in Sundbyberg on the 3rd and 4th of December. Our curling team was comprised of all Year 10 Students; Alexander, Mark, Gustaf, Kevin and Franz.

The first games were close but we did enough to force our way through to the semi-finals after matches against Sundbyberg and Karlstad, to name a few. Because we finished second in our group, we had the unenviable task of playing the winners of the other group, the Yellow Stones from Uppsala. In a tight semi-final unfortunately we came out second best to a team that would go on and win the tournament. We ran out of steam in the 3/4 place playoff to finish fourth overall.

The boys played fantastically well as a team and grew in every match that was played. Gustav skippered the team extremely well and we look forward to future tournaments where we can hopefully enter more teams. Go Team BISS
