This week, as part of their IPC Green Fingers topic, Year 1 students invited their parents to join them at Forest School. They built dens, dug for insects, and followed instructions on how to make a cheese quesadilla to grill on the fire. Yum
It was an amazing, sunny day, and the children loved showing their parents all the different activities they do in the forest.
Forest school is an educational approach that focuses on outdoor learning and nature-based experiences for young children. This rich and immersive learning experience fosters a deep connection with nature, promotes physical and sensory development, nurtures creativity and imagination, supports emotional well-being, instills environmental awareness, and cultivates a love for learning. Not to mention tasty quesadillas😉
